have a group picture of the MSG graduating class of March, 1981. This is the class which received The Hostages when they were released from Tehran. I went to MSG School along with my Assistant Gunner, Michael Killman, who was from New York. I was the Gunner/Squad Leader of the 1st Squad, (60mm) Mortar Section, 'B' Company, 1st Battalion, 9th Marines. Mike spent his entire tour at a Mission in Cuba, I think probably Havana. Both of us rotated back to Battalion HQ in Quantico at the same time. Both of us had been promoted to Sergent at least 3 years before our Primary MOS, 0341, would have allowed. John Musun (or Munson) also graduated with me in this class. His first tour was in Warsaw, I think. He rotated to Berlin shortly before I, and rotated back to Quantico shortly before I as well. How do I get you all a copy of this picture? Gerald Henthorn jerryhenth@hotmail.com

2/10/2009 11:01:36: AM I had not seen a copy of leatherneck in years when I came upon one at work. I found the MEGA website in the reunion section in the back and started looking up some old buddies, found a few but not too many. How ironic though, the same day I found this website I had injured myself climbing a fence to retrieve a hubcap I lost in a pothole. Oh the memories....
Name: Harry Kenneth Dover Jr (MSGMadrid@verizon.net) Rank: SSgt
Service Locations/Dates:● Warsaw from 01/27/1965 to 01/22/1966● Madrid from 01/22/1966 to 09/02/1967
1/22/2009 8:10:03 PM: I am looking for, and would love to get a copy of the graduation photo of the Marine Security Guard class that graduated on 18 December 1964.
Looking for MSG's who served at Embassy in Madrid in 1966 and 1967. The names that I can remember are GySgt Wilfred G Butler, Joe Siemer, Peter Stith, Darryl DaHarb and Scot DeGroff. There are two more...come on jarheads....drop me an email, so we can all get together somewhere.
My 2 1/2 years on embassy duty was the greatest thing that ever happened to me. I happened to be stationed in Madrid when the Air Force had that collision that left one A bomb lost, which was later found in the ocean. Our Ambassador, Angier Bittle Duke, swam in the ocean to prove to the locals that no contamination exsisted in the water. I also married an embassy secretary at the Torrejon Air Force on July 1, 1967. Tour in Poland was very restricted, But what little we could do proved to be very educational. Would love to go back to these posts and visit with the MSG's.
