"I stopped by and met the MSGs in Bishkek in 2007 on an ATA assignment. Because of the wartime ops tempo in both Iraq and Afghanistan many MSG Detachments were shorthanded. Bishkek was down two Marines and the Det Cmdr was standing post #1 in rotation with his Watchstanders. The MSGs were tired but morale was high regardless! Kudos to those professionals, who still took the time to make this old MSG feel welcomed!"
